Overview
Angan means courtyard — the open centre of a South Asian home where everything converges. Morning chai, afternoon conversations, evening light falling at the right angle. This tee is built around that same idea: multiple worlds meeting at a single point. On a black jersey base, the Angan T-Shirt layers technique upon technique. The front carries a screen-printed RASTAH logo, hand-woven fabric patches, and silk-jacquard inserts that catch light differently depending on how you move. The back runs a full screen-print composition. A jute sublimation patch sits on the body alongside block-printed khaddar sections — each material chosen for what it contributes to the whole. Black here is not minimalism. It is the backdrop that makes everything else visible — the way a courtyard wall frames whatever happens in front of it. Every technique on this shirt has its own craft lineage: jacquard weaving, hand-loom construction, block printing, sublimation on jute. Assembled together they create a surface that reads differently at different distances. RASTAH builds collections as stories. The angan is where those stories get told — surrounded, held, witnessed. Wear this shirt as that space: the place where things come together.
