Overview

This dynamic two-tone jacket repackages traditional Pakistani truck art culture with a distinctive Rastah twist. The trucking industry has been a leading influence in the creation of this collection and this garment is our most direct homage to artistic traditions of our latest muse. The hap-hazard split design, however, also eludes to the darker aspects of this striking and complicated industry, which we have also sought to explore throughout our current work. The upper half, made of acrylic wool was handpainted by Bilal, one of Rastah ’ s oldest collaborators, a furniture and truck painter in Lahore. Previously, he painted the immensely popular Poet ’ s Jacket for Volume II. The lower half of this jacket was constructed from black handwoven acrylic fabric with delicate coloured yarn detailing. *THIS ITEM IS MADE BY HAND AND YOUR PIECE MAY DIFFER SLIGHTLY FROM THE ONE IN THE PICTURE* *THIS IS A LIMITED EDITION ITEM WHICH WILL NOT BE RESTOCKED ONCE SOLD OUT* flared silhouette; elongated and curved back panel paneled silhouette painted acrylic top panel; handwoven acrylic bottom panel envelope pockets hand painted top panel Washing/Handling: Hand wash with cold water & hang to dry Male Model: 6ft; Wearing Medium | Female Model: 5'7; Wearing Small
